I want a heart that is set on fire for the purposes of God. Here I stand, not only with an entire day before me, but an entire life. I have a whole life to live for the Lord. I know that I can make each day count if I will remain in that constant burn. Just like the prophet Jeremiah stood and had to declare the word of the Lord, so I feel this mounting cry within me that says, "I must burn for Him!" I want my life to just burn for Him. I'm tired of burning for selfish desires and a little bit of the Lord here and there. I want my fuel to be His presence. I want my everything to be Him. That is to be consumed with what He's up to, where He wants me to go, and what's on His heart.
Jeremiah 20:9 "If I say, I will not make mention of [the Lord] or speak any more in His name, in my mind and heart it is as if there were a burning fire shut up in my bones. And I am weary of enduring and holding it in; I cannot [contain it any longer]."

A Heart That Burns Within Me

Daily Repentance
Psalm 34:18 "The Lord is close to those who are of a broken heart and saves such as are crushed with sorrow for sin and are humbly and thoroughly penitent."
After reading this verse I was reminded of the importance of daily repenting. More importantly, living a lifestyle of repentance. I'm sure there are multiple times during the day where my obedience is less than perfect. This verse says that God saves the broken and those humbled by their sin. I want my heart to be pricked when I break His heart. This romance is more than I can even currently imagine and His grace too incredible to squander. When I sin against Him it isn't a light thing or something to be treated as common occurrence. No, it's wounding my lover. Even though I daily turn my back on Him, He doesn't condemn me and doesn't forsake me.

Sonship
I’ve heard it said that obedience isn’t truly tested until you are faced with something you don’t agree with or that seems too challenging. I heartily agree with this statement. For your will isn’t put to the test unless you have to choose obedience over your perspective, comfort, or fears. Thanks be to God that Jesus Christ shattered every excuse we could ever have to disobey. Too hard? He still obeyed. Something you don’t want to do? Jesus still obeyed. In Matthew 26:39 it tells of Jesus choosing obedience over his own desires. “Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will." Jesus was the ultimate son. I want to be like Him and obey Father’s voice no matter what the cost. He’s just worth it.

Giving it back the Lord
God has placed us in the body of Christ for many reasons. One of the reasons is so that we can encourage each other. Encouragement and prophecy are definitely something the Lord created to build up and push forward His people. However, when the encouragement comes we have to give it back to the Lord. Why? If we keep it for ourselves we can get puffed up and begin to rely on the praise of man. For example when someone says to you, "Great job with that thing that you did! It was such a success, etc, etc." We don't want to walk in a false humility and say something like, "All glory to God…it was nothing but Him." We can just receive the encouragement and say thank you. It is critical that when successes come that we consciously choose to give the credit back to the Lord. In the secret place we came come to Him and say, "Lord, thank you for your hand of provision and your favor in this. Now I give all the glory and honor back to you!"

RC Prayer - 02.28.09
“Living touched by the eternal is living wowed by the wonder of His immensity. Since the Incarnation of Jesus Christ, God has been relentlessly working to move from the invisible to the visible. The Presence is all about incarnating the invisible immensity of God into sight and sound.” -Pastor Norm Willis
We are having RC Prayer this week at 7:00PM. God has given us an amazing promise in Matthew 5:8 "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God“ If you want that, come join us this Saturday night and get “wrecktified” as we worship the “star breather”! Whoa.
In great anticipation,
-Chris & Veronica

Welsh Revival
I was just reading about the Azusa street and the Welsh revival. I am just blown away at what the Lord can do. It was estimated that some 150,000 people were saved, and that the culture was changed. http://www.welshrevival.com/ It says that the bars were emptying and people were giving money to the church and buying things that their families needed instead. NOW THAT is a culture change! Do it again Lord!

Living Touched by The Eternal
Living touched by the eternal is living life regenerated
Living touched by the eternal is dreaming wild
Living touched by the eternal is knowing Jesus as the Bible describes Him to be
Living touched by the eternal is becoming a bridge that joins heaven to earth
Living touched by the eternal is learning to live loved
Living touched by the eternal is walking the walk of the Bride along the Bridal Path
Living touched by the eternal is placing a Spirit led demand on our faith
Living touched by the eternal is being commissioned and sent into destiny
Living touched by the eternal is living the life I now live
Living touched by the eternal is experiencing His Kingdom growing in us every day
Living touched by the eternal is living in the river of His presence
Living touched by the eternal is becoming a womb of creativity

Rest vs. Entertainment
Is entertainment rest? When we have had a long week, our default is to crash on the couch and pop in a movie. Is it bad to watch a movie? No. But is it truly rest? Would the highest be to rest in His presence? I believe so. This doesn't mean we have to have a worship night with our concordance and notebook evertime we have a free moment It could be simply crashing on the couch and sitting in silence, or soaking with worship music. I really believe we need a perspective shift on what rest truly is. I want to make every part of my life, even my rest, honor the Lord.

Don't Forget Fasting
God is speaking to me about the power of fasting. I have been feeling a spirit of seeking coming upon me lately. Asking real questions about my destiny, and just getting really serious about pursuing my destiny. I feel like God is like, "Don't forget to fast. Don't forget about the power of my voice being released when you consecrate yourself and put hearing My voice over eating your turkey sandwich." STOP getting all frustrated that you don't know how to clearly hear the Lord's voice. YOU KNOW how to hear the Lord's voice! Consecrate yourself. Give Him worth!
I once asked Lou Engle how he got to the place that He is now. How did the Lord bring him from being just a regular dude in a church to one who rallies stadiums of fiery Christians to repent, turn to the Lord, and usher in revival to this nation. Build a name in the spirit realm through fasting… If I am serious about building a name in the spirit. Proving that I am serious about serving Him, and not just casually stumbling through this Christian walk. It requires a radical obedience. It requires giving Him so much worth that I will do anything He is asking me to do. Stop living a lame undisciplined life. Stop complaining about not feeling you are where you need to be in the Lord. GET THERE! Get radical.

A Burden I've Never Felt Before
God totally rocked me. a burden in me. I don't think I have ever felt a burden come upon me like this before. I was hit with the revelation that the saving power of Jesus isn't just for the lost and the broken. It's also for the comfortable, and selfish. I felt like God was asking me questions like, "How can you live the life you live? Knowing of the brokenness and confusion your generation lives in, and do little to nothing about it. How can you tout that doing my will is your greatest passion, but never be interruptible to do my work? " He was just showing me so much about how revival isn't just about us feeling the yummy yums in worship. It isn't about gaining a Christian crown or a mighty ministry. It's about building a name in the spirit through brokenness, intercession, discipleship, evangelism, fasting, hunger, and worship. This was one of those God encounters that I know has to change the way I live. IT HAS TO CHANGE THE WAY I LIVE! I can't just live this life of playing church and doing and occasional outreach from time to time. Nor can I step out in obedience just so I am not a hypocrite when I talk about evangelism. In Mark 12:28-31 Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment is. He answered Love God, and love your neighbor. How can we say that we love our neighbor when we are living selfishly...while thousands daily slip further and further into the comatose of their broken life? That is the question we must answer.
