Prophetic Art

I wanted to take an opportunity to highlight some of the prophetic artwork from our church and youth group. You can expect to see these posts from time to time! To see larger images visit http://www.cckirkland.org/

Painters: Veronica Minor & Morgan Gilbert
Title: Portal For Glory
Description: Portal For Glory As we were painting the Lord spoke and said that it was a representation of a portal for Gods glory to come to the earth. Dutch Sheets was talking about living in Bethel which was the portal for angelic visitations and the manifest glory of God- but first we have to get to Bethel. In order for us to cross the rivers that we need to cross we have to be moving somewhere, we are a people who are not content with settling somewhere but always moving, always going forward. This painting has a lot of motion to it and It represents that fact that we are a people who are not and will never be stagnant but we are moving to where Gods glory is.

Painter: Jeff Kline
Painting Title: Crossing Over
Description: This is a picture of a people standing at a cross roads. They have crossed many rivers, taken walled cities, and laid gloating giants low. Throughout this time they have experienced their share of falls, scraped knees, and broken hearts. They bear on there bodies the scares of the past; the signature of their rugged terrain. But the fact that they stand as one body on this stormy shore speaks to a greater reality. In the face of all that has come their way, those that stand here are those who have trusted the Lord with their lives and said yes to the His way. They are those who have met their God in the jaws of lions, and the claws of the bear. Their faith is unable to be shaken; as they wait for the anointing to cross; yet another raging river.

Painter: Morgan Gilbert
Title: The power of Fulfilled Destiny
Description: Revelation 8.3-5 talks about the bowls of intercession being poured out onto the earth. In it an angel takes the prayers of the saints, mixes it with fire and incense from the throne of God and hurls it onto the earth creating lightning and earthquakes. My painting depicts a bowl being poured into a crack through the earth created by an earthquake and although the verse describes the bowls being poured out in a very "end of times" context, I feel like the Lord was saying "I am not pouring out the bowls to destroy the earth, I am pouring them out to fill the earth." Then there are the people, they are all of us. They are the people taking authority over the earth, making their presence known. There is a drummer heralding the revival that is happening, there is dancer, dancing upon injustice, there is an intercessor pointing his spear at the bowl demanding it to be poured out and there is a worshiper saying "My God is good ALL the time!" Every single person has a role in this army, no one is without, the key is finding whether you are the drummer, dancer, intercessor worshiper etc...And behind us is the generation rising up. You know they are watching us to see whether we think it is worth it to advance because if we don't think that Him and His Kingdom is worth it, then neither will they- they are living off of our victories in hope they might attain their own. What legacy are we leaving behind us? The earth will shake at the power f a fulfilled destiny.
